Mallorca pearls + centre or beach – itinerary:
– Depart from the gangway of your ship in the port of Palma direct to the pearl factory.
– Arrive at the Mallorca pearls factory for the visit.
– Return to “la escollera”(under the Cathedral on the seaward side).
– Stop at “la escollera” to admire the Cathedral de Palma de Mallorca.
– Continue on to the cruise ship. Those wishing to visit the city centre or go to the beach (10 minutes on foot) have the option to get off when the bus stops at “la escollera.”
– Arrive at the cruise ship dock.

Those people who have decided on the return to stop in the city centre or to go to the beach can take the nº 1 bus (bus stop shown on the map below) which will leave them in the port at the entrance to the cruise ship dock. The name of the stop where you must get off is “Port de Palma (estació Marítima)”. The ticket, which you buy when boarding the bus, costs 2€. Buses run every 15 minutes.

The Orquídea pearl factory was founded in 1952 and is located in the heart of Mallorca near the tiny village of Montuiri. It is the largest exhibition of Majorcan pearls, 2000 m2 where you can buy high quality jewellery and cultivated pearls, as well as watching how Majorcan pearls are made.
There are more than 1000 designs of earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces on sale.
Orquídea Pearls exports to more than 40 countries in 5 continents and has received considerable recognition for its export activities.

You will receive a confirmation of the COMPLETELY FREE tour after you have made the booking, it will show the details of the cruise ship, day and time of departure.
All our tours leave from the port (at the bottom of the gangway) from the same place as the buses for the ship’s tours.
All our buses are easy to find as they carry a board stating majorca-tours.
Important: We will wait for you as you disembark 20 metres from the gangway, you should leave by Bridge “zero” which is in the port. This is the same bridge which will be used by passengers who have booked their excursions on board ship.

The times are programmed with a margin of at least 15 minutes of the ship’s arrival time. You do not need to worry if the ship is delayed as we will be waiting for you and any other passengers who are arriving on the same cruise ship.

I tried to book the free tour for two on April 23, but the computer reservation would not work. My husband and I will be arriving on April 23 on The Carnival Legend.
